Old Clan vs Lutetia at Paris FC: when the ultras tear each other apart

par Johann Macq

L'essentiel

  • Violence in the stands: on December 7, in Le Havre, members of Old Clan and Ultras Lutetia clashed, and the Old Clan banner was stolen and then burned.

  • Origins of the conflict: tensions date back to 2024 with Légion X, a short-lived group responsible for several serious incidents.

  • Current situation: Old Clan is now officially inactive, but some former members continue to support the club, reminding everyone that football should remain a moment of passion and sharing.

Sommaire

Paris FC, long in the shadow of PSG, has built its own identity in recent years, especially since moving to Stade Jean-Bouin. But behind the chants and tifos, the stands have recently been the scene of a rivalry between two ultras groups: Old Clan Paris FC and Ultras Lutetia.

Context: a rivalry turning into confrontation

On December 7, 2025, during an away game at Le Havre, tensions reached their peak. In the away supporters’ section of Stade Océane, scuffles broke out between the two groups. Outnumbered, Ultras Lutetia — nearly 950 members compared to 255 for the Old Clan — managed to seize the Old Clan banner before burning it (original source in french).

For the Paris FC management, the sanction was temporary but firm: several match bans for the Lutetia, lifted only during the game against Auxerre yesterday.

Ideological war or simply territorial?

According to multiple sources, tensions date back to 2024, with the emergence of Légion X (original source in french), a short-lived ultras group formed by a former Old Clan member, expelled after online provocations against Ultras Lutetia. This group was never recognized by Paris FC.

During an away game at Amiens on October 29, this group was involved in an altercation with other supporters from Ultras Lutetia, resulting in stadium bans for some members. A few days later, on November 1, tensions exploded at Charléty: members of Légion X, blaming their exclusion on the Lutetia, ambushed them near the stadium. The altercation left four Lutetia members injured by stabbing (original source in french).

The history of Old Clan Paris FC

Founded in 2010 by former members of PSG’s Auteuil stand, the Old Clan was born from a simple desire: to continue living their passion for football outside the PSG context, then hit by the Leproux plan. The group naturally settled at Paris FC, attached to its Parisian identity.

Old Clan defines itself as “apolitical” and defends popular football, opposed to football-business.
In 2016, the Old Clan also claimed links with European groups, such as Zebra Fanatics Carolos of Sporting Charleroi and the Green Boys of Colmar.

Old Clan today

Today, the Old Clan is officially inactive, its members having decided themselves to put the group on hiatus. Its banner has disappeared from the stands, and no collective trips are now organized under its name. Yet, some former members continue to support the club individually, singing and following matches from the “Eiffel” stand, next to the away section, where Paris FC eventually allowed their presence. Their return to the “Capitale” stand, alongside the Lutetia, was of course no longer possible.

Conclusion

Violence has no place in football. Fighting over a jersey color, or worse within the same club, is sheer absurdity. The question remains how some supporters manage to reconcile passion and reason. The answer is simple: football must remain a moment of sharing (take the example of French rugby, often exemplary), not a playground for hatred.

Focusing on what divides us — someone who thinks differently or supports a neighboring team — is far too often an excuse for stupidity and violence. In life, there will always be far more important things than fighting in a stand.
