Racing Club de France make a major statement against Aubervilliers

par Edouart Edouart

Racing Club de France secured a victory that was as valuable as it was spectacular on Matchday 15 of the National 3 season. Leaders of their group, the Sky and White side hosted their closest challengers, Aubervilliers, in a crucial showdown in the race for promotion.

The match got off to a perfect start for Racing, who quickly set the tempo. In the 11th minute, Grégory Ayem opened the scoring, rewarding a composed and well-controlled opening spell from the home side. Well organised, the Sky and Whites largely dictated the first half while remaining alert to the visitors’ attacking threats.

An intense and finely balanced top-of-the-table clash

After the break, the momentum shifted. Aubervilliers raised the pace, applied heavier pressure and put Racing under sustained strain. Shaken but not broken, the league leaders conceded a deserved equaliser in the 85th minute, reigniting the suspense in an increasingly electric contest.

Marvin Emmanuel delivers for the Sky and Whites

As a draw appeared inevitable, Racing found the resources to turn the match on its head. Deep into stoppage time, Marvin Emmanuel struck the decisive goal, sealing a dramatic and hard-fought victory.

This win was all the more significant given the favourable results elsewhere. Racing’s main rivals dropped points, with ESA Linas-Montlhéry held to a 1–1 draw at Dives-Cabourg, while Bastia’s reserve side were also forced to share the spoils at Brétigny (2–2).

A crucial success for Racing Club de France

At the end of the round, Racing Club de France extended their lead at the top of the table. The Sky and Whites now hold a four-point advantage over Linas-Montlhéry and have pushed Aubervilliers seven points adrift, although the latter still have a game in hand.

Caution remains essential, however. Racing are set to face three consecutive away fixtures, travelling to Versailles 78 FC II, Saint-Ouen-l’Aumône AS and Havre Caucriauville. Three pivotal encounters that will test the leaders’ resilience as the championship enters its decisive phase.
